Curious about me? Well here I'll list a few of my interests along with some of my hobbies, along with my inspiration of my blog.

About Me...

who am I?Who am I? For those of you who don't know, or can't figure it out, my name is Jason Wilson. I'm currently a Computer Science major attending Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. I'm also minoring in music as well, so I'm usually living in the computer science or music buildings for the majority of the semester. I enjoy pretty much anything related to technology, but also enjoy being outdoors from time to time.

My tastes in music typically vary, although if I'm listen to music it's probably something classical, or instrumental. That's not to say I don't like anything else, I'm always willing to listen to something new! I have a lot of favorite books, but out of all of them, two of my favorite authors are J.R.R Tolken and C.S. Lewis.

Yeah, that's me!God also plays a large role in my life, and a lot of what I do really depends on him. Every day I try to strive to grow closer to him, and discover what he has planned for my life. I don't always do the best job, but thankfully he is merciful to me even when I do mess things up. My favorite verse would have to be Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." I feel this is probably the one verse that I look to for inspiration and comfort as I determine his will for my life.

About My Blog...

For as long as I can remember designing websites has been my hobby, so this certainly isn't the first. I originally had the inspiration to create this blog to let people know what's going on with me. But on the more technical end, I wanted to try something new. This site was completely designed having W3C standards in mind, along with the idea of having a design using no tables.

Everything you see was designed by hand, from scratch (aside from blog posts). In order to do blog postings, I implemented the Coranto Content Management System. Some of the other things you see on the site have a database backend, so I can dynamically update and edit content on the go without having to upload new pages through an ftp client. I'm always willing to try out new things, and new technology to get experience and to make things easier to update, so that's what that blog is here for.

The comments system is an addon to Coranto called iSay. iSay has been heavily modified to fit my needs for a comment system as some features I have on my site were not natively implemented with in the add-in.
